CORS Terminologyīefore going further, let us define some frequently used terms like browsers, servers, origins, cross-origins. The CORS protocol is implemented by all modern browsers to allow controlled access to resources located outside of the browser’s origin. The SOP was defined in the early years of the web and turned out to be too restrictive for the new age applications where we often need to fetch different kinds of resources from multiple origins. The Same-Origin Policy permits the browser to load resources only from a server hosted in the same-origin as the browser. The CORS protocol was defined to relax the default security policy called the Same-Origin Policy (SOP) used by the browsers to protect their resources. The role of a CORS policy is to maintain the integrity of a website and secure it from unauthorized access. Let us understand in greater detail the role of a CORS policy for fetching resources from remote origins, followed by how CORS policy is enforced by browsers, and how we implement CORS in our applications in the subsequent sections. If you want something bolder and edgier, consider touches of platinum or ash blonde. “It can bring out the red undertones in dark hair, adding depth and intensity to your overall color," she says, while chocolate or chestnut highlights can provide “subtle contrast while maintaining a natural appearance.” To increase dimension, try copper or mahogany highlights. She also recommends auburn or red highlights to create a vibrant contrast. “Warm caramel or honey highlights can add dimension and warmth to dark hair, creating a subtle and natural-looking effect.” “When it comes to choosing highlights for dark hair, a few colors can create a beautiful contrast and enhance your overall look,” she says. If you have black hair but want to add some extra color or dimension, Haliti recommends highlights. “Black hair has always been highly regarded as a sleek, fashionable hair color,” she says. “A well-chosen haircut can amplify the impact of black hair, enhancing its inherent charm and making a lasting impression.”Ĭelebrity hair stylist and colorist Ashley Gomila agrees, pointing to the shade’s bold simplicity. “My advice is to embrace the unique beauty of black hair and consider exploring various hairstyles that complement its natural allure,” she says. “Black hair is inherently cool and exudes a powerful presence that makes a strong statement,” she says.īut just because black hair is timeless doesn’t mean it has to be boring. Let me know below! □ĭo you need hands on practice for your students, too? I know the lists of words and number that need to be memorized varies hugely from district to district and from state to state. This list of videos includes many of my student’s favorite videos as well as channels that have tons of videos for individual sight words. If you want to make a video like this, it is really easy! All you have to do is create a powerpoint, video the powerpoint and let the students read the words. I typed each word and sentence on it’s own slide in a powerpoint. This guided lesson helps to support first graders as they expand their comprehension of short A words. Each student chose a word and created a simple sentence for them. We made our own video in the spring once we had a good handle on many sight words. When I told them we could make a video just like it, they were super excited. The first time we watched this video, they were in awe. My students LOVE hearing other kids reading to them. After a handful of words, a short intermission encourages the kids to get up and dance This activity. The words are on the screen as well so students can see them. Students repeat the word after the word is announced. It is a teacher made video with students reading a word and then saying it in a sentence. Note: Did you know there is a difference between sight words and high frequency words? You can read more about that here! Then one day, as if a switch has been turned on, they remember them! It’s kind of a magical process. We practice and practice (and practice some more), and even then, some students still don’t quite grasp it. Teaching sight words and high frequency words can be challenging because it requires so much repetition. The most common 100 sight words make up 50% of any text! For our new readers, that percentage is much, much higher. Quickly recognizing and reading sight words and high frequency words is such an important skill for new readers. Can we ever have enough practice? I rounded up the best sight word videos so that you don’t have to! When I think lots of repetition: I think SIGHT WORDS. Videos are a truly engaging way to teach and reinforce skills that require a ton of repetition and practice to master. Any nodes that persist for more than 3 weeks in the absence of a diagnosis should be investigated. Lymphomatous nodes can have similar symptoms of fever, night sweats, weight loss, and tenderness. Serology for glandular fever or toxoplasmosis may be positive. Inflammatory nodes are generally associated with systemic symptoms such as tenderness, fever, malaise, sore throat. Any lumps that are persisting or growing over a few weeks or months must be investigated for malignancy. Most inflammatory lumps will begin to resolve within 3 weeks. parotid or thyroid cancers can be quiescent for years before taking on a more aggressive course. Generally lumps that have been present for years are benign but not necessarily so e.g. However multiple non-tender nodes can be due to malignancy either primarily of lymph nodes (lymphoma) or secondarily by spread from a cancer of the head and neck (nodal metastasis). Multiple lumps are generally lymph nodes and the most common cause is inflammation e.g. glandular fever, toxoplasmosis. Most thyroid lumps are benign but still require investigation as some are cancers. Lower neck - in front of or deep to the neck muscles – often represent thyroid abnormalities and will elevate with swallowing. Other possibilities include nerve tumours, carotid body tumours. Any persisting lateral neck lump in an adult must be treated with suspicion for malignancy. In Polynesian patients in particular, a cystic swelling may be due to a plunging ranula which is due to chronic leakage of mucus from the sublingual gland (under the tongue) into the neck. As with parotid lumps, lymph nodes involved by skin cancer occur increasingly with age.
